A Diversionary Tactic

Happy Leap Year...

I've always felt like I need more hours in a day so I am excited to have an extra day here in Feb.  Traditionally this is the day that the woman can propose to her male companion.  The exact history is unknown but supposedly it began in the 5th century when St. Bridget complained to St. Patrick about the unfairness of a girl needing to wait for the man to propose....

I suppose that was our problem.  We didn't have a Leap Year or a Leap Day around the time we were talking about marriage!  We could have been married a whole LOT sooner!  Now, rest assured, while I didn't officially propose, I did manage to offer some pretty clear hints.  In fact, I took a scissors to the Rodgers and Hollands or some other jewelers Black Friday/Thanksgiving flyer and cut out some items that I thought would be very nice gift for me around Christmas time.  I strategically placed them on his pillow so he would be sure to get the drift.  I still have to do those kind of things occasionally...he saves his perception and intuition for the hunting and fishing part of his life.  :)  I'm known for my subtlety....subtle like a ton of bricks.

March Hostess Club and Open Stamp Day

I love my cake and I like to eat it too....and I'm thinking most people are like that.  So I've decided that my Hostess Club is going to do JUST that.  I've set up my Hostess club in the following manner:  I have a group of Hostesses that committ to the Hostess Club and they receive the benefits of the club...like free Hostess Club projects and we rotate the Hostess Benefits amongst the Club member so they get the perks.  The stampers commit to spending $20 each month during the duration of the club.  Fabulous, right? 

But what about the stampers that are committment-hesitant.  (That's PC for those with committment phobia).  No seriously, it's those stampers that are busy, that are on a budget, that just don't like me?  I don't know...there are a few.  But let's just say that they aren't quite ready for the fun of Hostess Club.  This is where the eating the cake part comes in...well, they can attend club too!  They can drop in and make the projects for free with a $25 order.  No strings attached...of course, we are hoping that they would like to join club so that they can reap the hostess benefits but regardless, we are glad they can join us for the day. 

I've even went so far as to make the Hostess Club a Drop In Style Club....come during the hours listed, make your cards, chat it up with me for a while, take some photos and be on your way to the next fun filled engagement.

So have I talked you into dropping in?  Thurday, Mar 1st - 5:30pm to 9:00 pm or Friday, Mar 2nd 1pm to 9pm.  Mark your calendar!  Email if you are planning on attending so that I can watch for you.

What is this white fluffy stuff?  It's been a while since we've had snow and I was starting to think about gardening etc but alas, it's weather in Wisconsin and the only thing you can depend on is that's it's NOT dependable.

Miss Me? - Coffee Cards and Biscotti Class Sample

I'm back.  Did you miss me?  I've been working around the office with our My Digital Studio and have been designing a flyer for the Camp Stamp-in-oga.  It took me a couple of trys before I was happing with the results (operator error) and I needed some time to think of the verbage etc.  But I'm very excited to be sending them off to the printers shortly and will be sharing them with YOU!  Exciting stuff.  Now I'm looking forward to creating an album of my sister-in-laws recipes for her family. 

Yesterday, Adria remarked to me that she thought I was a "little crabby".  You know, I think I was...and I'm wondering if it's been that I've been working at the computer the last week and haven't had my creative fix?  Stamping...it's for what ails ya!  So I hope to remedy that this weekend.  I've got a party on Saturday for a dear hostess and I'm going to "play", oh I mean work at my designing desk tonight.  I can't WAIT.   Need YOUR stamping fix?  Order online here!

Feb 2012 Monthly Card Kit

I love EASY...the easy life, easy chairs, and when I can make YOUR life easy...I love it EVEN more!  Do you ever struggle for a card design?  Have a stamp set you are "stuck" on?  Need a bunch of cards fast?  Like to attend crops and camps but then feel like you need a Mack Truck to haul everything?  Yeah, me too!  But I've got the solution for YOU. 

Monthly Card Kits!  Each month I select a stamp set, design two different cards using that set and a few additional tools.  I cut cardstock so that each kit will have 8 cards (2x4) and I bundle them for shipping or pickup!  I know, it's a brilliant idea!  So when you are stuck, need to bunch of cards, or are heading out to a crop the cabin etc, you will grab your kit, scissors, adhesive and the listed items from your stash and off you go!  It's EASY!
